Overview
The NiSi Mist Filter Kit 77mm provides controlled highlight halation and contrast reduction using optical diffusion tuned for minimal color shift. The 1/8 strength offers subtle highlight bloom and slight micro-contrast softening, suitable for digital sensors requiring gentle highlight roll-off. The 1/4 strength increases halation radius and lowers contrast more noticeably, particularly in specular highlights and practical sources. Both filters use multi-coated optical glass to reduce internal reflections and maintain transmission consistency. The effect preserves edge definition better than heavier diffusion filters, making it suitable for high-resolution capture. Standard 77mm threading allows direct lens mounting or integration via step-up rings.
