- Stretch wrinkles and light the cloth evenly; judge uniformity with waveform or false colour rather than by eye.
- Keep talent far enough forward to reduce green spill, and add a rim or edge light when separation is weak.
- Avoid green wardrobe, translucent materials, and motion blur that makes clean edges difficult to key.
- Record a clean plate and a few seconds without talent, then fold the cloth dry and clean to prevent permanent marks.
