Overview
The Comica CVM-MF1 Wind Muff is a miniature synthetic fur windscreen designed to reduce air turbulence and high-frequency wind noise on clip-on lavaliers. It mounts directly over standard lav capsules and foam windscreens, attenuating wind intrusion without significantly altering frequency response or intelligibility. Suitable for exterior dialogue capture where low-profile wind protection is required.

- Accessory type
- Miniature lavalier windscreen

- Mounting
- Slip-on over capsule or suitable foam
- Primary function
- Reduces wind turbulence
- Best environment
- Exterior dialogue in light-to-moderate wind
- Profile
- Compact and camera-friendly
- Limitation
- Not a substitute for a full high-wind system
- Fit the CVM-MF1 securely so fur cannot rub the capsule or clothing during talent movement.
- Comb the fibres away from the microphone opening after handling or storage.
- Use a sheltered placement whenever possible; a tiny lav cover cannot replace a full wind system in strong gusts.
- Listen to a movement test outdoors, because wind direction and wardrobe contact can change after blocking.
